About

Bio Picture

I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1990 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, and from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2009 with a Master’s in Divinity. I am an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA).  I am currently the pastor of Fleming Road UCC in my neighborhood of Finneytown in Cincinnati.

I am the community connector and on the organizing team for the Parish Collective Cincinnati as well as serving on the boards for Oasis Finneytown and the Economics of Compassion Initiative.  I am also a part of the planning team for the Common Good Fellowship.

I am married to Debbie, a licensed PTA and a community activator.  We have two wonderful children, McKenzie Grace and Brennan Matthew.

I love being with my friends, hanging out with Debbie and with my two kids. I love to go backpacking, rock climbing, bouldering, and am obsessed with theology (and practice) and running. (I am also a cross-country coach for the Finneytown school district!).

My call in life is to build relationships with folks and to see community with others, ourselves, and God flourish.

This flow of God in my life. humbles me and allows me to live with great expectations and hope. Some days are great, some days are crazy, but its “all good” as I live and love.
